Is there age limits?
All ages are welcome. Depending on participant needs, they may need a parent or carer to stay and be involved in the activities.

What do I wear and bring?
Comfortable clothing that you are ok to get dirty.
Sunscreen, hat, snacks and a water bottle.
Everyone entering the horse yard must have enclosed shoes.

What happens if the weather is poor?
In the event of bad weather The Dairy House will be available to use with indoor activities. Some animal interactions may not be advisable so you can choose to reschedule and visit another day.

Do parents/carers stay or leave?
Depending on the needs of the person visiting, they may need a parent or support worker to stay with them until they are comfortable.
We are happy for parents to stay and watch from the picnic tables or join in the activities.
As appropriate, parents can drop-off and have some time-out for themselves, knowing their child is in a caring environment, having fun, making friends and experiencing the therapeutic connection with the animals.
It is always great to see parents and siblings at pick up learning about what happened in the session.
How many support workers should a community group bring?
Support workers are welcome without cost to enjoy the animal fun together with their clients. The number of workers can be determined by the service, based on their client's needs.

What if we are not used to being around farm animals?
We encourage participants to engage in the farm activities at their own pace, based on their individual comfort around the animals. There is plenty of space to view and touch the animals without being in the paddocks with them.
There is no expectation only loads of encouragement.
A family member or support worker can join in the activities to assist as required.

Can I ride the ponies?
Pony interactions are ground-based experiences, we welcome visitors to enjoy the company of the ponies and learn how to safely handle, care for, groom and lead the ponies.
There is no horse-riding lessons.
​
What about Equine Therapy?
All pony experiences will have elements of Equine Assisted Learning.
EAL horse experiences cater for people with additional needs and will have therapeutic and educational learning structured into the sessions.

How does payment and receipts work?
Payment via Bank Account transfer or money is appreciated on the day and a receipt will be provided​
