About
Discover Fullerton Cove Farm:
A small hobby farm just North of Newcastle, NSW, a place that offers a calm and relaxed farm experience without the crowds but with understanding and inclusive practice.
Our farm friends include chickens 'the girls' who you will see scratching about.
Misty, Archie and Coffee our adorable ponies, Baarbie the sheep (blonde and beautiful, thinks she's a horse) and the most affectionate mini goats, Wattle, Tilly, Coco and Jelly.
Although it was a cold and wet Winter this year on the farm, check out some of the farm fun during Winter 2024.
Our new feathered farm friend Stormy, the rescued Honeyeater has been a delight to have around after falling from the nest in the January storms.

Purpose:
We believe in spending time outdoors with amazing animals can provide a calmness to your day, having positive effects on mental health and well-being.
We are inclusive! We have a child with additional needs and understand other families have their own unique challenges as well.
We offer families a safe space where their child will be assisted with enhancing their skills in social and community participation.
Depending on the needs of the child visiting, they may need a parent or adult to stay with them until they are comfortable. This may take a short amount of time or over a few visits.
The aim is for families having some time-out for themselves, knowing their child is in a caring environment, having fun, making friends and experiencing the therapeutic connection with the animals.

Participants experience:
We offer a unique, relaxed and supportive farm experience with educational activity options suited to the participants needs and interests. We have a day house that activities are based out of, and visitors can use the facilities of The Dairy House.
The little house is used as a training facility to enhance daily living skills by building capacity in a simulated independent living environment.
Depending on participant needs and their choices, activities could involve gardening, craft, basic cooking, active time, music, games, social play, also learning 'house hold' tasks.
Each session will include animal-based learning activities, introducing natural horsemanship techniques with our ponies Misty and Archie, Coffee and having some fun, joyful playtime with the little lady goats.
We are looking forward to setting up Sunday social groups.

Additional needs support:
With an understanding of additional needs, we encourage participants to engage in the farm activities at their own pace, based on their individual comfort around the animals.
Animal-assisted interventions involve interactions with animals as a means for supporting skill development. Learn more about Equine Assisted Learning at Fullerton Cove Farm.
